Valletta F.C. has won 25 Maltese Premier League titles, 14 Maltese FA Cup Trophies and a record 13 Maltese Super Cups.
They've played around 100 matches in Europe (45 in the Champion's League).

Good question never really thought about it...
Relative success in their league: yes
Fan base: probably yes (half of Glasgow, loads across Scotland, almost the entire proddie population of N.I, plus loads of English people's 2nd club)
International recognition: tough one... West Ham are huge across the world not just cos of our football, loads of skinheads/punks etc worldwide love West Ham, dunno if its the same for Rangers
Although.... almost all European holiday resorts have a dedicated Rangers pub, obviously we're everywhere but not really the same.
Would love to say West Ham are bigger, but Rangers probably are/is

What is your definition of big? Crowd size? No. Worldwide fanbase? Possibly (but then again, if you're Scottish, there's very little competition). Success in Europe? Possibly. Trophys in the cabinet? Definitely.

I regard them in the same way as I do Chelsea so not particularly highly, in fact my Chelsea supporting cousins even go up to the odd Rangers game for some reason.
The real Rangers fans I have come across have for the most part been nutters or had some anger issues.
A big club in a small pond with only one real rival.

I know a lot on here think Celtic are beneath contempt, and this would be a fair comment, but Rangers are just as bad with their sectarian claptrap. Neither should be anywhere the PL.

They most definitely are not. They are very similar profile to be honest. Proper mix...like a lot of clubs.

I know a lot of people think everything is dominated by social media these days but I don't think it's a judge of how big a club is, which is always open to interpretation and needs qualifying.
I would say that Rangers probably had more in Seville than we had in Prague.
Like us, they had people travel from all over the world to watch them or just to be there.
They have not had the endless marketing and money of the premier league to push them forward but if they had I believe they would be on the same level or higher.
Their Europa league run brought something out in their character that we would have found hard to match and I was glad we avoided them and glad that when we didn't quite make it they did.

We have almost 2 million more followers on twitter.
Our location being a main factor and as I wouldn't want either playing in the English Premier I can't see that changing.
However atmosphere wise I'd say they are much better

Fair enough! I just felt, after our second leg games against Seville and Lyon we could have turned over the 1-0 deficit in Frankfurt until the sending off.

Mallard - I'm not so sure we lost to Frankfurt twice.. Never ever in front.. Rangers led them in the final and only lost on penalties... So did much better against them than we did.
They also knocked Dortmund out and Leipzeg..

Why would that make them formidable ffs?
They'd be on par with most of the also rans in the Prem, like us, and from there it'd be about how they were run and managed, they would either be trying to finish in the top 10 or in a relegation battle. They'd be far from fucking formidable, you plank.
